Our Story

From the Himalaya to the Heartland

Photo of Diwash / the restaurant coming soon

Diwash Shrestha came to the United States from Nepal about ten years ago, carrying little more than a strong work ethic and the flavors of home. The years that followed were not easy. He worked long hours, faced his share of setbacks, and slowly built a life far from the mountains he grew up beneath.

Through all of it, one thing never left him: the food of Nepal. The momos folded by hand, the curries simmered low and slow, the warmth of a table shared with family. Mount Everest Kitchen grew out of that. What began as one man's determination to build something of his own became a place to bring a real taste of Nepal to Fargo.

Every dish we serve is made the way it is meant to be: authentic, fresh, and homemade. That is the heart behind our name, and our promise to you.

A Taste of Nepal, served with heart. Welcome to our table.
